Barbara H. Edwards is an experienced leadership coach, consultant and facilitator who has taught leadership and conflict resolution to thousands of people from around the world. In addition, she has designed and facilitated a large group dialogue process that has been used in numerous high stake conflict settings to explore diverse perspectives and reach unique and collaborative solutions. Her life work over the past quarter century has been helping individuals and groups navigate challenging landscapes and enabling them to reach their highest visions. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, schools and agencies for social change.
Barbara’s work has been guided by powerful collaborations and enriched by gifted mentors. She spent a decade as a senior consultant working with Stephen Covey (author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) in his organization, The Franklin Covey Company, where she taught leadership and organizational development courses. She spent two years with M. Scott Peck (author of The Road Less Travelled) working on his Community Development Process as well as studying community development with Peter Block. In addition to being a CTI (Coaches Training Institute) Coach, Barbara is educated in the Harvard Negotiation Process approach to Conflict Resolution, Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence, Matrix Leadership, Kim John-Payne’s Social Inclusion Approach, and Motivational Interviewing. Barbara holds a BA in Sociology and Human Services, an MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology, and a certificate in Gestalt Process.
